The Forward is a publication, not a data business. This page describes what little information we handle when you read the site or subscribe to the briefing, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Your email address, if you subscribe to the briefing. That’s the only information the subscribe form asks for, and the only thing it keeps.

Correspondence, if you write to us. Tips, corrections, and pitches sit in our editorial inbox and are used only to respond and to report.

Standard server logs.Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure records basic technical data about requests — IP address, browser type, pages requested — for security and operations. We don’t use it to profile readers.

What we never do

The site runs no advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, and no fingerprinting scripts. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. There are no ad networks here and no third-party data brokers behind the page.

Cookies

The Forward sets no tracking cookies. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.

How we use your email

One purpose: delivering the briefing. We don’t share subscriber lists with anyone except the service providers that physically send the email, and every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing removes you from the list — no win-back campaigns, no “are you sure” sequences.

Retention and your choices

We keep your email for as long as you’re subscribed and delete it when you leave the list. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to editor@theforwardreport.comand we’ll handle it promptly.

Children

The Forward is written for finance professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
